Surfactants & Emulsifiers (SLES, SLS, MES, betaines)
Cleaning and foaming power, palm-derived
Surfactants are made by chemically modifying palm-derived fatty alcohols and methyl esters — for example sulphating fatty alcohols into alkyl sulphates (SLS), ethoxylating then sulphating them into ether sulphates (SLES), or sulphonating methyl esters into MES. They lower surface tension to clean, foam, wet and emulsify.
