Palm Kernel Olein (PKOo, PK olein)
The soft, pourable lauric fraction
The lower-melting liquid fraction obtained when palm kernel oil is fractionated by controlled crystallisation and filtration. It concentrates the lower-melting glycerides (more unsaturated oleic and shorter C8–C10 chains), giving a softer product than whole PKO.
Filling fats and coatings, biscuit and wafer creams, cosmetics and toiletries, feedstock for further oleochemical processing.
