Product Overview
A polyol recovered as the main by-product of biodiesel transesterification, where roughly one part glycerine is produced for every ten parts of methyl ester (about 10% by mass). Crude glycerine from palm biodiesel plants is refined to technical, pharmaceutical (USP) or food grade for downstream use.
Applications & Uses
Pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, food humectant, oleochemical feedstock, animal feed, industrial applications; links biodiesel output to the wider oleochemical value chain.
