Product Overview
Fatty acid methyl ester produced by base-catalyzed transesterification of refined palm oil (or palm olein) with methanol over an alkaline catalyst. It is the dominant biodiesel feedstock in Indonesia and Malaysia: Indonesia mandates a B40 (40%) blend under its roadmap toward B50, while Malaysia runs a lower transport blend with higher blends phasing in.
