Product Overview

Mono- and di-glycerides are produced by reacting (glycerolysis of) palm oil or fully/partially hydrogenated palm fats with glycerine. Registered as food additive E471, they are among the most widely used emulsifiers in processed food.

Applications & Uses

Bakery and cake emulsifiers, margarine and spreads, ice cream, chewing gum; non-food uses in plastics as anti-fog and anti-static agents.
