Product Overview
Metallic stearates are metal salts of stearic (and palmitic) acid, made by precipitation or fusion of the fatty acid with zinc, calcium or magnesium sources. Each metal gives a slightly different function across plastics, rubber, pharma and cosmetics.
Applications & Uses
PVC and polyolefin lubricants and acid scavengers, rubber processing, tablet and powder flow agents (magnesium stearate), cosmetics, paints, waterproofing.
