Product Overview

A saturated twelve-carbon fatty acid produced by splitting (hydrolysing) palm kernel or coconut oil and then distilling and fractionating the resulting fatty acids. PKO is one of the principal commercial sources of lauric acid.

Applications & Uses

Soaps and surfactants, cosmetics and personal care, emulsifiers, monolaurin and food-grade esters, feedstock for alkanolamides and other derivatives.
