Product Overview
Fatty alcohols are made by catalytic hydrogenation of fatty acids or their methyl esters, most commonly in the C12–C18 range from palm kernel and palm oil. Lauryl (C12) and myristyl (C14) cuts are especially valued as raw material for anionic and non-ionic surfactants.
Applications & Uses
Feedstock for surfactants (SLES, SLS), detergents, emulsifiers, emollients in cosmetics, lubricant and plasticizer intermediates.
